Tulip Festival at Muttart Conservatory The Cosmopolitan Event in City Centre Mall THE PARTY PALS The 'Party Pals,' Enes, David, Dianne and Gloria, are a versatile accordion quartet who enjoy playing a wide variety of music. Their repertoire includes easy listening, dance music, ethnic (with a special love for tangos), blues, jazz, old-time favorites and the familiar "oom-pah-pah" accordion music. Enes Upright has been a professional accordion player since age fifteen. She played with the Louis Biamonte Dance Band for many years. Enes teaches students of all ages and is an enthusiastic promoter of accordion music. David Jerke is an accomplished accordionist who provides the bass rhythms in the quartet. As a teacher at the Jacobs, Shean & Morris School of Music he was involved in developing mass student accordion bands in the early1960's. Dianne Tebby is a multi-instrumentalist. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Music in violin. Dianne started playing the accordion when she joined the Vinok World Dance group as a professional musician in 1989. The accordion has become one of her favorite instruments. Gloria Grainger has a background in classical piano. Since taking her first accordion lesson in 1996 she has embraced the instrument with enthusiasm.
